In order to play real money craps, you must know how to bet. Here is how you play the game of craps:

Pass Line Bet – There are two ways to win this bet:
1. 7 or 11 show up on the first roll
2. The point (number that the dice makes) is made (come-out roll) before a seven is rolled.

Don’t Pass Bar – The opposite of Pass Line and also can be won in two ways
1. 2, 3 or 12 appears on the come-out roll
2. Rolling a seven before the point is made.

You can’t bet on Pass or Don’t Pass after the come-out roll.

Come/Don’t Come – This is basically Pass/Don’t Pass, but can only be bet after a point is made; the next roll will be your personal point. You don’t want to roll a seven if you bet on Come, but you do if you bet on Don’t Come. You will either be able to bet on Pass or Come, but not both at the same time.

Taking the Odds – Placing an additional wager that the point will be rolled before a seven. The payouts change for the points based on how many ways there are to roll the number.

Lay Bet – This is the opposite of Taking the Odds. You are betting that a seven will be rolled before the point.

Field Bet – You are betting that the next roll will not be a 5, 6, 7 or 8 – the four most common numbers to roll.

Hardway/Any Craps/Any Seven – these are statistically the worst bets on the table. The payouts structure gives the house a significant advantage. Unless you get lucky and hit your roll once or twice, you will lose on these bets in the long run. The Any Seven bet gives the highest advantage to the house, only paying out 4 to 1 on winning bets when the odds of winning are 1 in 6.
